Charge: The Advisory Committe on Research Programs (ACORP) advises the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (CB) on the Norman Hackerman Advanced Research Program (NHARP) regarding the board's development of research priorities, guidelines, and procedures for the selection of specific projects at eligible institutions for awards on a competitive, peer review basis (Texas Education Code Sec. 142.003). ACORP recommends funding allocations for NHARP research area. (Texas Administrative Code rule §14.71)

Meeting Schedule: Meets one to two times annually, or as needed.
Membership: ACORP Members
ACORP consists of experts in the specified research areas and includies representatives of Texas industry and higher education institutions. The Chairman of the Coordinating Board appoints members of the Advisory Committee, who serve for staggered three-year terms.
